Our family found it hard to find "true" information on the internet on the 'best dogs for kids'.  We'd type this statement (or variations) into search engines and the majority of sites would list ten dogs, there would be some of the same lists, different lists.....there would be some sites with a general paragraph on how the temperament is the most important factor and not the breed....there would be some sites with so many ads that it was hard to find the real content.....there would be very few that listed where the sources of information came from....And, of those sites that provided incredible information, in order to access all the information on the different breeds, it would take hours of clicking (hours that today families simply do not have).

So.....Our family wanted to really LEARN about different BREEDS of dogs and provide firstly ourselves (secondly, visitors) a one-click glance at the dog breeds ranked the best in certain categories.  You see, we are picking a dog for our family, so we closely looked at the available information, and then we developed our own TOP DOGS LIST for families with small children based on the characteristics that experts view as important.
